Anyone Remember The Realm?
So I was just running around GW the other day, remarking again at its' beauty and was reminded of the very first MMORPG I played with graphics - The Realm from Sierra. Was that indeed the very very first graphics driven mmorpg? It's the first one I ever played. I went looking for it and my goodness, it's still going...
I remember weddings, and cartoon Fenrir and surprising a lower level who tried to grief me but screamed and ran when he found out I was much much higher than he was...and I remember my house, my dear little house decorated with the fenrir skins of my kills..

and even Anarchy online beforehand? meh... well I have never played it... Is it any good, and does it require P2P to access?

I think I have a screenie somewhere, *digs* - it's a picture of the line of people waiting to get into the dungeon... I only heard of Anarchy Online after I knew about The Realm, so I don't know... It was pretty good when it came out, I don't know how much has changed since I stopped playing at least eight years ago, but it was fun - much more social than GW...and it was cheap, well it's cheaper now than it used to be, I think it's $6.99 or something like that...P2P? I don't think so. |

I think he meant UltimaOnline, because there's no way Anarchy came before Meridian.
